Garden update

I’m still cutting a gallon bag full of fresh no ecoli lettuce every other day.

I planted potatoes March 18. Then we went through a stretch of unseasonably cold weather complete with seven inches of rain one week and a few hard freezes. So I got antsy and replanted the potatoes since nothing was coming up. Now all of the potatoes are coming up!

I bought 24 native plants from a CSA near us. I’ve been wanting to put in native plants in the garden, but I don’t have any raised beds built for them. So that project is now a priority.

I tilled part of the garden yesterday with the hopes of getting some plants in the ground this weekend. I’m done with school for two weeks, so I’m really counting on that time to get most of the garden squared away.
